Year in Review: 2013 Part 1

Best Photos of 2013
I liked this photo because of the intense feeling of sympathy and guilt which seem to emanate off of the subject. The photo uses simplicity to emphasize the subject and intensify the emotions brought about. This photo is rather sharp up close, as you can see some small particles on his suit, but it becomes blurry at a distance which can be found when you look at the light in the background.

I chose this photo because of the emotion it seemed to capture, not only with the subject but with the crowd as well. This photo is rather sharp, and seemed maybe a tad bit too bright, but that was most likely due to the fact that the photographer was shooting towards the sun. This photo also used framing, depth of field, and cropping to fill the picture.

I chose this photo because of how grandiose it makes the interior of the building feel. I liked the use of patterns and line that lead the eye around the inside, letting the observer fully view the picture smoothly.  The picture is mostly sharp but in farther parts such as the back wall it is partially blurry.
