Motion Preview

1. One might want to slow down their shutter speed to capture motion in the background rather than freeze it.
2. You can have the subject or camera move
3. You want a mode in which you have full control over the shutter speed.
4. You can use a neutral density filter, a smaller aperture, or a decreased ISO.

5. The starting ISO should be between 1/60 and 1/15
6. Because it is the fastest point to focus to.
7. With continuous drive, multiple photos are taken, so you can't mess up the shots as easily.

8. The AI Servo auto focus mode constantly focuses on a target subject so that the subject will be in focus.
9. Since the camera is continuously focusing, it is easier to capture a moving subject in focus.

10. The BBF will continuously focus, and separate the process in focusing manually with a half-button press, which is good for moving subjects.
11. The BBF will not be good for a still subject because the camera will keep focusing, looking for a moving subject where there is not, so the picture will be out of focus.

Stock Photography and Legal Issues

A model release form is a contract that can be signed by the model which officially lets the photographer use the likeness of the model in his or her pictures.
Keywords would be very useful in organizing my photos, and helping potential buyers in finding my work.
The logo or name may be trademarked or copyrighted which could cause some legal conflicts.
You should save space because people could use this space for advertising.

Companies like royalty-free images because they cost nothing to reproduce, while rights-managed images cost.
Royalty-free images should be used with caution, because other companies may use the same or a similar photo.
Rights managed photos are a viable option other than royalty-free photos because they are more conservative.
Rights managed photos are managed so that the people who use it are managed and so that not everyone can openly use them.

If I take pictures in an art museum which allows photographs to be taken and I photograph some paintings or sculpture, can I sell the photographs?
Taking pictures of art would also be a form of still life photography, which is why I am interested in it.

Still Life

Bowls of fruit, flowers, and bottles of liquids are usually used for still life.
A photographer needs to take all of the colors of the photo, the lighting, and what they want into account , because they can manipulate anything to get the perfect picture.
Focus on the objects in the picture is what is absolutely necessary, so aperture priority is needed.

I believe I could take still life of small objects around my house because my father has lots and lots of potential items.
People who want to buy stock photos, or people who want a general idea or theme.
It is an easy way to start and make money as an amateur commercial photographer.

I could arrange my rings, or some other things that are personal to me.
The meaning could be something about my personality considering they would all be my items.
I could use the rest of my room or my house as a background.

Free Shoot photos

The subject is the snail, and pattern on the snail's shell.

The subject here is the stigma and it's pollen nodules.

The subject here is the center of the flower.

Here, the subject is the stomata of the flower.

The subject here is the same as above, just zoomed in further.

I am happy about how they came out, but they seemed a bit blurry, so I should have used a tripod.
Next time I would use a tripod so that I can use a slower shutter speed.
I learned that with macro, you must use larger lenses with extremely high or low settings.
