This year I want to learn how to take photos with a macro lens, so that I can take professional photos of extreme close-ups. I want to take pictures like this because it can help you rethink what a picture can be, such as taking a close-up of a flower that shows it's pollen. It almost seems to make an entire universe for one to explore in just one photo. I also want to learn this type of photography because it will help me to learn and use different types of lenses, although they will most likely be lenses with a close focusing range.
